Submission Guidelines

We want the Imagine magazine to be full of your writing. Here are guidelines to submitting work. All submissions should be sent to: submissions@imaginemag.org.

Writing Guidelines

We would like Imagine to consist of mainly the work of teen girls. Imagine is open to receiving any form of writing. This includes but is not limited to: short stories, devotionals, book and movie reviews, essays on popular topics, personal experience essay, tips & ideas, poems, opinions, etc.

Please keep these guidelines in mind when considering to send us work.

  1. Please look over your piece to find any spelling or grammar mistakes. This step saves lots of hassle and makes it much easier to get published.
  2. Use appropriate, pure, Christian language. If you have a question about something it probably shouldn’t be used.
  3. Pick subject matter that you believe would be entertaining, convicting, interesting or informing to Imagine readers. A story about Mary and her red ball would not appeal to our audience.
  4. Send us lots of submissions! We want each issue to be packed full with all kinds of fun stuff. ☺

Photography Guidelines

We are also interested in receiving photographs to use in Imagine. Feel free to send us any general photographs you like. Subject matter in these photographs could include but is not limited to: teen girls, flowers, butterflies, Bible, cross, etc.

Please follow these guidelines when submitting photographs.

  1. All girls in photographs should be modestly and appropriately clothed.
  2. Subject matter should not portray any questionable or inappropriate sign or suggestion.
Please let us know if you are ever interested in a photography assignment to go with a particular article. Also, feel free to submit photographs with your articles. They may or may not be used.

Adult Writers

We are grateful that you are wanting to contribute to Imagine. Adults provide quite a bit of experience that teenagers could never have. When submitting work please use the same guidelines the girls have. Here is a list of what we accept from adult writers.
  1. Personal Experience pieces
  2. Poems
  3. Short Stories
  4. Devotionals
  5. Advice
